Public Procurement

Public Procurement

Public procurement is an area of law which is close to our heart at Old Mint Legal. Public procurement is the manner in which government procures works, services or supplies. A comprehensive legislative framework exists which is a hybrid of European Union legislation and local legislation. Our years of study and service in this field of law permits us to adopt a meticulous approach towards the various aspects that a public procurement process may present.  We have assisted clients in the various stages of a public procurement process and our clients vary from contracting authorities to private bidders which participate in a tendering process.

We may assist clients in the tender preparation, formulation of clarification questions, submission of bids, negotiations, appeals before the Public Contracts Review Board and the Court of Appeal and interpretation of the various contractual provisions following the successful award of the tender.

Our experience in assisting government entities for major projects across the island has provided our lawyers with the expertise required to understand the point of view of the entities which award the tenders. This puts us in the driving seat to understand better what tenderers are expected to provide and how to achieve the best outcome in a procurement process.
